W inadyn error validating dyndns svr answer

The Username and Password are correct; I can log into Open DNS using them. I've done a lot of searching but most of what I find is pretty old.

) Perhaps freedns.changed behaviour because there is also an error if I don't provide the URL with the passphrase in the custom DDNS form....

If I want to login at their website it looks like their adding some "cookie"? Sorry for confusion this may cause but I use the appropriate freedns.form which doesn't work.

I use this: https://cloudflare-updater.appspot.com/ Okay, you still have to call something other than Cloud Flare to issue the update but at least you don't need to run an extra host or VPS etc. It's completely transparent - only problem is that you don't get an errors returned so you need to check it's working yourself.
